Relationships:

Relationships between parents and teenagers - Relationships

The most important of all relationships is the relationship with parents because it is the relationship which begins from the childhood. But as the child is growing up the relationship starts changing. Certainly there are some problems, but each one has a solution. If parents follow some advice, the relationship will be improved.

So parent-teenager relationship should include:

Respecting

Respecting each other in the family is very valuable. If a teenager respects his or her parents, they will always support and help their child. For some families it is difficult, but when parents talk with their children about different themes with respect, relationship will improve.

Understanding

The majority of families face with the problem of misunderstanding. Parents do not understand their children and vice versa. The solution to this problem is conversation between parents and teenagers.

Amiability

Certainly each parent faces with the conflict with his or her child. Some parents start shouting and abusing their children. If a parent wants to escape this problem, he or she should calm down and find the solution to this situation.

Also it is possible to build good relationships with the teenager by spending time together, keeping promises, using humor, and appreciating their efforts and strengths.

Another tip is helping teenagers believe in themselves. The parent should believe in his or her child and then the teenager will understand that it is important to be self-confident.

But the teenager should also do something to improve the relationship with parents. The most important thing is to be open and honest with parents, because if the teenager lies to his or her parents, it will arise a conflict after which parents will feel offended for a long time.

The song reflects the state of mind of a young teenager who has certain dreams but is being pulled away from there because of parental pressure. Concussions is a metaphor for the parental/social pressure. The pressure which forces the child to do what others want him to do and not pursue his own desires. Most of the lyrics of the songs are metaphors such that every individual can relate to them.
