How social media affects teens and their privacy

A huge problem with social media is privacy issues. On Social Media websites you are encouraged to leak personal information such as where you live or go to school. The idea behind this is to have people you know find you but it can also serve as a way for predators to find you, too. Anyone can see anything online and nothing from the internet can not actually be deleted.

There have been numerous studies that have verified that a side-effect of Social Media is having feelings of depression, narcissism, and envy.

The well-being of our generation is being jeopardized by our obsession with how we look online and what we see on our news feed. Not only are websites like FaceBook and Twitter killer time-wasters but they can also have a deep impact on how we view ourselves and our peers.
